The Supply Chain Specialist will assist in the sourcing of materials that are of the highest quality in the most efficient manner. The successful candidate must ensure that the warehouses are stocked with the correct product mixture at optimum levels.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Supply Chain Management or Business is preferred.

  • Prior working knowledge of procurement process in a multi-location environment
  • Prior experience and working knowledge of pipe, valves, flanges, and fittings used in the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Working knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operating supplies used in industrial and energy industries
  • Working knowledge of equipment used in the drilling and completions processes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales Team to identify materials to be stocked in the warehouses at their optimum stocking quantities
  • Drive value by sourcing materials that are of the highest quality and at the lowest total landed cost possible
  • Assist the Sales and Quotations Teams in preparing proposals with sourcing materials, offering additional suppliers and alternate products
  • Work with suppliers to identify efficiencies in the buying process that will streamline warehouse processes
  • Work with warehouse personnel to identify supplier performance gaps and resolve them with the suppliers
  • Resolve overages, damages and shortages with supplier’s deliveries
  • Identify alternate suppliers who share the same values as PSC
  • Issue and analyze RFQs to support the buying process
  • Assist the Accounts Payable group in resolving invoice variances
  • Review supplier order acknowledgements to verify accuracy to issued purchase orders
  • Assist in expediting process to track incoming shipments
  • Keep informed of changes in typical lead times and availabilities while communicating those to the Sale Team
